As I begin this posting, it is Palm Sunday morning. Spring is in all of its glory in Rome. The Pope's Mass in St. Peter's Square is beginning as I write this. I will be attending the Palm Sunday Mass at 11:00 AM and the other Holy Week services with the community at del Caravita, which includes a large number of Jesuits. I have already talked about Caravita in previous postings on this blog.
The photos which are attached to this posting were taken yesterday. I visited a few churches I had not yet been to, including Santa Susanna, the American church in Rome, and Santa Maria della Vittoria, the church entrusted to the care of the Archbishop of Boston. Santa Maria della Vittoria is also famous for a sculpture by Bernini, The Ecstasy of Saint Teresa. You will see a few photos of the sculpture in this posting.
I will be camera free today, so I am going to post some photos tomorrow from the photos I took yesterday. I hope you are enjoying them as much as I enjoy taking them. Happy Palm Sunday!
